Such a beautiful cat & adored so much...you were my "baby" before my babies came along!
You was so tiny when you first came to us aged 6 weeks old. A ball of fluff!
You adopted one of my little cuddly toys...it was a small beige puppy! You would play with it & lick it...even sleep with it!
You soon grew into a beautiful companion & learnt to tolerate the children is they appeared over the years. You loved to play & your favorite game was catching a scrunched up piece of paper! You were so funny!
Sadly one day aged 9 you never came home overnight which was most unusual then you finally appeared only to collapse in a heap! The vet decided to operate but felt you'd been hit by a car...when he opened you up you were riddled with Cancerous tumours!!! We had no idea you were poorly! You was still eating normally etc.
The vet sewed you back up & called me in...i kissed you gently, stroked your soft fur & said "Goodbye" & you lifted your weary head & meowed very quietly back. My heart broke!
That was 2 days before my son Daniel's 2nd birthday 24/11/94 & it was so so hard to smile on his birthday but he was too young to understand why.
I missed you so much, you weren't under my feet trying to trip me up on the stairs etc etc...even after moving house 3 yrs later...i still missed you!!!
I vowed to never have another cat as the heartbreak when we lose them is unbearable...i kept my word for 8 years and now have 2 more cats but they could never replace you Lucky!
Still think of you Lucky & you pop up in some of our old family video's & are in a few photo's too so you will never be forgotten by the family & especially never forgotten by me!
Rest in Peace Lucky. xxxxxxxxx
(My poem for Lucky)
Years may pass.
You are not forgotten.
Memorys are not lost.
You still watch over brave and true,
Loved and missed forever until the end of time.
However happy you are and thats how you will stay and we both wait until someday we are together again.
R.I.P Lucky.
beautiful LUCKY xxxxxx
At the Grave of a Fine Cat
May your whiskers be ruffled by only pleasant breezes,
May your bowls be filled with tuna and sweet cream,
May your dreams be blessed with legions of mice,
And most of all,
May you forever purr in peace.
Amen.

Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
I will hurt...
And I will be grateful for that hurt
For it bears witness to the depth of my love.
And for that I will be eternally grateful.

Those pets we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every single day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
